DIGITAL SLR CAMERA HIRE/RENTAL?

I'm wanting to hire or rent a digital camera SLR for my HSC body of work for visual arts, only for a week at max, or even one/two days ... i don't really care. I've tried looking on GOOGLE and it seems so expensive...

Try posting a message on your local Craigslist boards or other online local classified boards. You might get lucky and find someone willing to lend/hire out their gear for the week.

You might also approach some of the wedding and portrait photography businesses in town. Explain the situation to them. Quite often they will have some older camera bodies and lenses that they aren't using and they might be willing to come to some special arrangement with you.
